Rainforests are home to 50% of the plant and animal species living on earth. Unfortunately, the Amazon Rainforest is on fire, and more than 200,000 acres are lost every day. Almost all of this destruction is caused by human activity. 73,000 fires have been recorded already this year - that’s 70% more than in 2018.

Currently, sloths are becoming endangered. Specifically, the Three-Toed Pygmy Sloth is critically endangered, and there are less than 48 left in the wild. These sloths can be found in Panama and are losing their homes to human activity.
Other species of sloths also live in the Amazon, and 150 acres of their home is being destroyed each minute.

This enamel pin is a special charity pin, and 100% of profits be donated to Rainforest Trust.

Why Rainforest Trust?
This foundation is a non-profit organization that directs its funding toward strategically purchasing and protecting lands vital for endangered species and indigenous communities. So far they have saved over 23 million acres of rainforest. 100% of donations they receive go to conservation.
